Salam alaikum, As you already know, year 2 E F and G students are putting their creative and business hats for an exciting project in Arabic this week and next. They will create their very own Arabic drink at the end of next week and sell it at an imaginary market place. They will learn to use the vocabulary of drinks, fruits, dairy product and many more in order to convince others to buy their drinks. In order to maximize this learning experience, please encourage your child to watch the Flip Learning video on the weebly before and during the next 2 weeks. It could be a good opportunity for you to learn some Arabic too …J Do you enjoy your learning so far? We love to hear your feedback as your voice is the most important one to us. We are trying to make your Arabic Learning experience better every day so please leave any comments or suggestions you have below . Recently, we have been learning all about written methods for calculations. Last week we practised our addition skills and this week it is time for SUBTRACTION!
Now have a watch of this video. Have a go at the method like we did today in class and practise on some paper. Think about what you found tricky and what you found you could do. Let me know tomorrow how you did! Mr H This week, your children have been amazing authors. I know how proud they are of their efforts and so am I. We began the week with the children watching the time-lapse video below and recording their ideas of what they already knew the sun was like. The above picture is just a little taste of what they came up with. Using their senses, the children then wrote sentences about what the sun would behave like if they woke up in the morning like we did. Their responses belied their young age and their use of the ipads to help them improve their ideas, really helped too. Here is Jasmine recording her ideas on her page. Below is Salina's set of ideas once she had read our class padlet below. Below is Paloma's masterpiece. She edited her initial sentences by using the 'Areas of learning' section on the Weebly. I am sure you'll agree that it is a lovely read! STAR OF THE WEEK This week 2G's 'Star' is Eman. She has worked so hard on her writing and maths this week and she really deserves it. Well done young lady. Have a great weekend and keep your eye out for another video! Mr H x |
